SKY FLY

Beautiful day here in potato land (Idaho), think it hit 90 degrees. We are in the process of a major landscaping job in the front yard- we built 2 years ago on 5 acres and are just now getting around to the grass-- YIKES! Bad thing here is the climate is so dry so one really needs a good automatic underground sprinkler system- and we wanted to do it right. So we have been working on that and adding some tree's. Planted 24 big 10 ft' trees over the weekend. Lined our drive and part of the front. Worked on getting the yard ready for grass seed today. NOT EVEN anywhere close to being done.
Also finished up on getting some mosaic pieces finished for Shabbyfufu.com. A step ladder and lazy susan, hopefully will get pics of that up tomorrow.
Finished my latest necklace and listed on etsy. See descript...
Elegantly Posh. SKY FLY. From my Vintage Vanity line. One of a kind necklace features older signed Sarah Coventry bird brooch, flying high in the beaded blue sky. Asymmetrical with sparkly new Swarvoski crystals and white faux pearls on the top side, like a cloud overhead. Pretty blue with filigree vintage pendant on other side with more crystals in sky blue and clear. Makes me want to FLY. You too?Sterling plated delicate chain with fancy pants clasps measures about 19 inches. Bird has a nice drop, with beads hangs down from chain about 3 ½ inches.

I Dream of Jeannie

Time... Anyone have some for sale?!? Criminy, so much to do so little time.

My latest on Etsy. Here she is... Jeannie, with ber beloved Astronaut Tony Nelson whom looks to be in his state of perpetual befuddlement. I hope I am not dating myself but I Dream of Jeannie was one of my favorite shows as a kid. Went right up there with Gilligans Island, The Brady Bunch and then a bit later, Three's Company.

Anyhow, this one was fun to do... a bit of nostalga from the hit 1970's TV show, I Dream of Jeannie. Fun and Funky vintage bottlecap pendant on ball chain necklace. Has a Swarvoski crystal drop befitting of Jeannie. Resin filled to amplify, protect, and give a waterproof coating for Summer fun. On a casual and urban ball chain measures about 25 inches, long enough to slip over your head while you are running out the door to the beach to look for your own Genie bottle. Find it for sale on Etsy by PoshSauce.

Key to My Heart

A new item from my Vintage Vanities line on etsy. Dubbed Key to my Heart. I love to mix vintage & new. Gives a charming feel to urban. This one was made using an antique key and new Swarovski crystals.

The G is for Gypsy was a fun one too, it was one of a kind and sold but new versions on on it's way! Keep checking.

Whom is this PoshSauce artist, anyway?

As a mixed media artist, I have several ventures, so etsy isn't my only gig... just the newest one. But I think I'll enjoy it as I can do less time intensive projects- Right now, inbetween doing mosaics, I am gearing up for a huge SunValley (Idaho) show this summer- so etsy works great as far as trying out new flavors in my jewelry and small endeavors.

My first love is mosaics- I am a HUGE vintage china buff. My pieces sell exclusively on-line at shabbyfufu.com. I have been catering to Janet Coon's (the proprietor) ladies for several years now. They are WONDERFUL and indeed very Posh ;-) . Those gals have impeccable taste and much of my time is devoted to hunting for the most exquisite antique rose china to create
for them. More musings about shabbyfufu in future blog episodes. I'll also be adding links and such, but running out of time at the moment.
I also have a website, SimplySmashingMosaics.com and do art shows and festivals where I sell my mosaics off line and do commissioned/custom mosaics. Speaking of, the tray pics are of a commissioned order. This was a delight to do, she requested birds and had some of her own favorite china for me to use. Hope she likes :-)
Off for now-- it is Friday and there are estate sales calling my name...
